Winter Fun Workshop 2021 in Helsinki for Buyers interested in Baltic and Nordic countries

Exotic destinations and companies in Northern Europe will be presented in a tourism workshop to foreign travel wholesalers, tour operators, travel agencies and ground handling companies 20.01.2021 in Helsinki

We are more than happy to announce the popular North European destinations are promoted to foreign travel trade interested in outbound travel towards Baltic and Nordic countries. Attending Suppliers have their operations in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithunia, Norway and Sweden. Buyers are invited from Americas, Asia, Europe and Oceania. This is by invitation only event.

You have possibility to meet Suppliers either in Offline, meaning here you are coming to Helsinki and attend at the workshop venue room meeting Suppliers either in there or remotely by using online video conference tool. Or you can meet them from your home country Online, where you mainly meet Suppliers who are also in remote access Online. There is also possibility with two persons from the same company combining both ways to meet.

The allotment for Buyers in OFFLINE is 80 and ONLINE (remote access) is estimated to be 80. It is recommended to register as soon as possible. Invited Suppliers volume is estimated to be around 50 of which min. 40 are visiting in the workshop OFFLINE and the rest are in ONLINE mode. All meetings are one-on-one, so no group meetings possible.

 

You can participate two ways in this workshop:
1. You are able to come to Helsinki, Finland and to attend at the workshop meeting local Suppliers. We call this event
    Offline Workshop

2. You remain at your home country and you are contacting Baltic and Nordic Suppliers in online, remote access by using special video conference service provided by the event Organizer. The service is free of charge. We call this event Online Workshop.

COVID-19 and Finland 
Finland has second lowest numbers of COVID-19 infections in Europe (2.9.2020). At the moment the restrictions are set up for the citizens where there are 8 new infections to 100 000 population in the country. There are now new plans where The Finnish government is now thinkin to have special corridors or travel bubbles to enter in country. The negative infection test is going to be needed and this should be made before start travelling to Finland. Otherwise there would be 14 days quarantine needed.

Pre and Post Tours

Pre and Post tours are for all workshop Buyer attendands as fully hosted.
Fully Hosted tours mean free…

transfers either by plane, train or bus from Helsinki to tour destination
designated accommodation in tour destination, mainly single rooms
meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner, snacks, including beverages)
excursions in destination
site inspections
material offered by the hosting destination

Fully Hosted tours doesn’t cover your…

possible travel document procedures such as visa prolonging
own shopping 
own additional excursions outside of the hosting destination official programme
transfers in Helsinki to the starting point of the tour; starting points are Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Helsinki railway station, Helsinki West Harbour or Kiasma – contemporary art museum bus stop

 

Pre and Post Tour process 
 

We have chosen 5 different themes for the tour where you can find several interesting tours and destinations to discover. You are entitled for maximum 2 tours; 1 pre tour and 1 post tour. The approval process for all tours is as follows:
1. You need to apply for different pre and post tours in the Registration Site of the Winter Fun Workshop 2021. (The link is here enclosed separately, see later)
2. You can apply in once 2 different Pre Tours and 2 different 2 Post tours
3. Your requests will be send to the hosting destination representatives who decide will they accept your application or not. 
4. ToolBox representatives will inform you either you are accepted or not. This process can take from few days up to few weeks depending on how many applicants there are. Normally each destination can host around 10 Buyers in each tour.
5a. If you are approved, then ToolBox starts to organize your travel arrangements for the tour.
5b. If you are not approved, you can apply any other available tour with the help of ToolBox staff

You have time to cancel your pre or post tour participation until 07.01.2021. After that there will be a charge of 250 euros (+VAT 24% if applicable) to cover expenses for the hosting destination.

Registration

We have for the Winter Fun Workshop 2021 and Pre and Post Tours a special registration site.
Click/or copy the link here below and answer the questions. The process including you to the programme starts there. Even there are more information from the same company, we recommend each applicant to register individually.

We accept for the workshop normally maximum 2 persons/company. For the Pre and Post tours it depends very much of the hosting destination if they accept 2 persons from the same company to join in the same tour. It is obviously ok if the two persons are joining in different tours. We are accepting tour operators, travel agencies and some media representatives maximum 80. There will be around 40 – 50 Suppliers mainly from Finland but also some from the neighbouring countires.
