MARKET OVERVIEW

As long-haul travellers Australians tend to travel in Europe for long time. It is not unusual they are travelling in Europe for one month or even longer. The average length of stay in Nordic countries is 12 days. The average length of stay for foreign trip is 21 days. The reason for this is long distance from Australia almost to everywhere and four-week holiday season. The population of Australia is almost 25 million. Global rank for international tourism expenditure is 8.

There are several options flying from Australia to Nordic countries. The Middle Eastern airline connections to Nordic countries have been increasing volumes of Australians in Denmark, Norway and Sweden. Greenland and Iceland have been increasingly popular and considered as new interesting destinations for Australians. Rest of Scandinavian coutries and Finland have been also more and more popular. Russian river cruises have been traditionally popular among "Aussies". Baltic countries are considered new interesting markets but needs more players to do business with Australian travel trade. 

ECONOMY

Unemployment in Australia is relatively low. The country has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the OECD. The economy seems to be growing e.g. due to the mining industry. Structural changes are significant for the local economy. In 2021, GDP is expected to grow by a total of 5.2 percentage points. The relief of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country and globally is contributing to this great rise. The year 2022 would be more moderate, ie about 2.9%. At the same time, unemployment would continue to fall, reaching a level of 4.7 to 5.0 percentage points. Inflation is rising to as much as 3.7 percentage points in 2021 and to a total of 2.10 percentage points in 2022.

Time:
 14.03 - 18.03/19.03.2022 (Hobart Workshop flight back to Sydney 19.03)
Place: Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Additional sales event in Hobart, capital of Tasmania state.
Price: The final registration is 31.12.2021. The Early Bird price is 3900€ + VAT 24 % per company, 1900€ + VAT 24% for the second participant from the same company.  Normal price 4100€ + VAT 24% per company and 1900€ + VAT 24% for the second participant from the same company.

Price includes: Organizing sales visits and workshop, table at the workshop, Buyers Manual, ToolBox representative services, flights in Australia Sydney – Brisbane, Brisbane – Melbourne, Melbourne – Sydney. 

Price doesn’t include: Meals, accommodation in Australia, freight costs, excursions in Australia, possible visa or travel document costs.
