Spending of $20.5bn makes the Netherlands the world’s 14th most valuable source market for international tourism. The Dutch like to explore new places away from the crowds when on holiday, and their destination choice is heavily influenced by scenic natural beauty. The ‘natural features’ of a destination can entice almost half of those in the Netherlands to make a repeat visit to a destination. Two-thirds have been influenced in their choice of destination by a previous visit to the country concerned. The Dutch are heavy users of the Internet. 56 % say that the Internet is among the most important source of destination information.

In Belgium, mainly the Flemish side is more interested in Nordic countries, Baltic states and Russia. It is also wealthier comparing to French speaking area. 


The GDP growth will be very moderate for 2020 (1,0%).  Unemployment is under European Union average for year 2020 reaching 5,3 %. Inflation rate is going to be 1,7%. 

The Dutch market the GDP has continued rise slowly, supported by a turnaround in private consumption. The estimate for GDP in year 2020 will be 1,4 % increase comparing to year 2019. Unemployment rate is 3,8% and inflation will be next year 1,4 %.

Sales meetings with the Dutch tour operators, travel agencies and travel media. Minimum 6 and maximum 10 preorganized sales meetings for 1 day at Vakantiebeurs event in Utrechet, the Netherlands. B2B event days are mainly 14.1.2021. Consumers are coming to the fair until 17.1.2021. Over 100 000 visitors during the travel fair.
Price: 850€ + VAT 24% (price for one company per day)
Included: Organization of the sales visits, escorting, interpretation if needed
Not included: Transportation, accommodation, meals
