Southern Asia and South-East Asia

Our only target market area in South Asia is India. Still undeveloped country but also many millionaires living there. Our target market areas in India are mainly in Bangalore, Mumbai and New Delhi.

In South-East Asia the focus is mainly what is going on at ITB Asia in Singapore. But we also recommend to look over of the markets in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Indian people are one of the most remarkable travel group with Chinese. The brand of all Nordic countries is gradually getting bigger among local tour operators. Flight connections of Finnair support that. For example there are around 50 000-60 000 bednights from India to Finland per year. Two-thirds of those in India still live in rural areas, but the urban middle class is now estimated at 300 million, 2,4 million of whom have wealth greater than $ 100,000.

“Gross domestic product (GDP) growth in India is projected to strengthen to close to 7.25% in FY19 and close to 7.5% in FY20,” the intergovernmental agency said.
