Volunteer work in World Championships of Icehockey 2012 – 2013

Helsinki is hosting twice World Championships of Icehoceky. This is going to be organized so that Helsinki is having the main role in 2012 and Stockholm in 2013. Volunteer work is essential to organize international or big national sport events in Finland. Without those people many of  many sport events wouldn’t take place.Business College Helmi, University of Applied Sciences Haaga-Helia and the Finnish Sports Federation have been setting up a project to develop volunteer work for sport events. Mainly this is organized in Vierumäki Sport Centre near city of Heinola (around 120 kms from Helsinki to North).I was asked to join into this project and I am taking care of mainly marketing strategies and leadership to promote these sport events. My first assignment will be already 14.1.2012. Later in Spring I will monitor those students who are applying for the degree from this course.
