COTRI China Outbound Tourism Expert Panel

ToolBox-travel marketing & consulting has been accepted to be one member of the China Outbound Tourism Expert Panel. The COTRI China Outbound Tourism Expert Panel (COTEP) aims to provide a network for the major Chinese outbound tourism experts from inside and outside China. The members are drawn from the tourism industry, regional, national and international tourism organisations and institutions and from academic, commercial and media researchers.COTEP is organized by COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute (based in Heide/Germany, China offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou), but is open for all qualified members including other research institutes, consultancies etc.Monthly China Outbound Tourism IndexTo provide an easy-to-understand indicator for the analysis and forecast of the development of China’s outbound tourism, COTEP members are asked to provide an assessment of the overall development of China’s outbound tourism in the last and in the next 12 months, taking into account the development of the number of Chinese outbound travellers, the amount spent by Chinese outbound travellers, the level of support by the government in China and in the destinations and the level of commitment of tourism companies in China and in the destinations.“China’s outbound tourism 2025” The goal is to forecast the parameters and likely scenarios of the development of China’s outbound tourism over the next 12 years up to 2025. Results will be published in suitable form in academic articles and a book, in Chinese and in English.
