New restrictions for some European countries

The Finnish government decided on Thursday to change travel restrictions. Border checks will be returned to traffic between Finland and Austria, Slovenia and Switzerland. In these countries, the number of cases has since started to increase. The restrictions will take effect on Monday, July 27th.

The Finnish government relies primarily on the limit value of 8 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. The secondary estimate is 10 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants. The review is for the last 14 days: is the trend rising or falling? Also, the number of tests on how authorities are assumed to control infection control will affect the assessments.
