Funding instruments for Finnish companies to be used in ToolBox Consulting events and tourism development projects

We have compiled the Business Finland and the ELY (= Centre for Economic Development, Transport and the Environment) funding opportunities open in summer 2025 by region, including funding instruments, application periods, specific objectives, and the amount of support funding allocated for each call.

Business Finland Funding

The Government has decided to allocate EUR 9 million of Business Finland’s funding authorization to support the research and development activities in the creative industries in 2025.

The government decree on the Exhibition Explorer funding service will be amended, and the changes will enter into force on January 1, 2025, if the decree is adopted in December. In connection with this, we will also revise the criteria for granting the funding. The maximum funding granted for a single trade fair project will be reduced from EUR 15,000 to EUR 10,000.

ELY Centers Funding

From the list below, you can check the current ELY funding opportunities open in your region.
In Uusimaa and Häme, no new calls were opened in June; according to current information, the next calls will open in August.

JTF = Just Transition Fund, aimed at promoting the green transition and alleviating and managing the regional economic, social, and environmental impacts caused by the reduction of peat production.
ERDF = European Regional Development Fund (EAKR in Finnish), whose main goal is to address disparities between EU member states and their regions throughout the Union.
